Get your reservoir funded.

Defra's Water Management Grant reopens this autumn — up to £15 million for on-farm reservoir construction across irrigated horticulture and arable. Applications need a costed scheme behind them. We'll produce yours, at no charge.

Survey and volume design · Costed specification · Drawings for planning and abstraction · Built by the same firm that quotes it

An application without a costed scheme behind it is a wish

The grant funds construction. To apply you have to show what you're building, what it holds and what it costs — and those figures have to come from someone who could actually build it. That's the part that catches people out, and it's the part we do.

What you're building. Site survey, profile and volume design, batter angles and freeboard, liner specification — drawn up properly, not sketched on the back of a delivery note.

What it holds. Catchment and irrigation demand calculated against your rainfall, your soils and the crop you're actually growing, so the volume you apply for is the volume you need.

What it costs. Itemised and priced, and standing as a quotation you can hold us to when the money comes through.

We'll do the scheme and the numbers before you've committed to anything

We'll do the scheme and the numbers before you've committed to anything

  • A visit to the field

  • Profile drawing and volume calculation

  • Catchment and irrigation demand figures

  • Material and construction specification

  • Itemised, costed quotation

  • The drawings you need for planning and for an abstraction licence

No charge and no obligation. It's yours to use whether the grant lands or not, and whether you build it with us or not.

We design it. We dig it. We line it.

Most reservoir jobs get split in two. A groundworks firm digs the hole, a lining company turns up three weeks later, and if the batter's too steep or the levels are out, you're the one stood in the middle of it.

We do both. The same team that sets out the profile installs the membrane — so the dig is cut to suit the liner, and the liner is specified to suit your ground. One contract, one price, one company carrying the risk. It also means the quotation in your application is the quotation that builds it.

A scheme is worth what its weakest seam is worth

  • Seams dual-track hot wedge welded, leaving a channel we air-pressure test along the full length of the joint

  • Detailing, patches and penetrations extrusion welded and vacuum-box tested

  • Destructive samples cut at intervals and peel and shear tested

Handover pack: weld test records, material certificates, as-built drawing, volume certificate and your installation warranty.

Why this autumn and not next year

Updated planning guidance for on-farm reservoirs is due in September. The Environment Agency is simplifying long-duration abstraction licence applications from the same month. The grant is expected to open in the autumn.

A reservoir gets dug in the dry and filled over winter — so a scheme funded this autumn is water in the ground for the season after. Every month of hesitation is a growing season.
